A Pedestrian Paramacharya

A Pedestrian

Pontiff

Param Acharya

Path he made

Par Excellence

Purity in thoughts

Purged Out

Pompous

People from

Palaces

Every Foot

( Patham )

He Kept

became

a Peet (am) **

Every Stone

He touched

became

a Shrine

Every Water

He poured

became

a River

Yet he was

a Pedestrian

Most Revered

My Prayers

His Holiness

Every Pedestrian

setting foot

on The Bharat

must be

Respected

as the Lord

Himself

on the Roads

Every Drop

of Blood

should be

Sacred

Not

Scattered

PS :

** Peetam means the seat from where the acharya administers the nation. Adi Shankara born in 7th Century CE established four peetams for four directions.  Patham means feet in Tamizh Language.

Shankaracharya's Birth anniversary is celebrated as Sankara Jayanthi this year on 2nd May 2025

India is leading the world at this point of time in most numbers of road accidents & deaths. Pedestrian Casualties are very high in this populous country. So this is a prayer to most revered Pedestrian.
